About me

Hello! I'm Dr. Sam Lemoine and I am the Testing Coordinator here at West Stanly High School. This is my third year at WSHS, but my 19th year overall in education. I have a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from UNC Pembroke, a Masters of Science in Biochemistry from UNC Greensboro, and a Doctorate in Education from Gardner-Webb. I am no longer in the classroom, but in the past I've taught Chemistry (Standard, Honors, AP, IB, College), Botany, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical Science, Earth Science (Standard, Honors, AP), Biology (Standard & Honors) and Forensic Science as well.

I grew up in New Orleans, but I've lived all over the country. I was active duty in the US Air Force from 1988-1995. My wife (Emily) is a pastor at a local Lutheran church. We have three children (all grown up - we are empty nesters), two grandchildren,  a mini-dachshund, a pointer, and a cat. We are very active in our church and in the community and we love spending time with good friends.

My wife and I spend our breaks navigating all over the country in search of new adventures. We've visited 46 states together in the last decade, plus the provinces of Quebec, British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario, and individually we've been to all 50 states and over 40 countries. We are also avid readers. Over the past two years, we have each finished over 100 novels each year.

I'm proud to work with the great staff and wonderful students at West Stanly High School!!! If you have any questions feel free to email and I will get back to you ASAP.
