Attention Colt Families:
At the end of this school year, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction will transition away from PowerSchool. Beginning in July, all school districts will use the new student information system, Infinite Campus. The conversion to this new system is a large undertaking the district has been working on throughout the 2024-2025 school year.
School data managers are cleaning our data for the conversion later this year. They will send home verification letters to ensure that we have the most up-to-date information in PowerSchool for your student(s) prior to this conversion. One of the most important pieces of information we will need for Infinite Campus is the correct addresses of students, parents, and emergency contacts. Correct address information will ensure a smoother data transition in July.
No matter how we prepare, errors are unavoidable. Please be patient as we review and correct errors in the conversion process. If you notice an error that hasn't been corrected, please contact your school's data manager to alert them so that they can be fixed.
Once we have corrected as much data as possible, we will release the new Infinite Campus Parent Portal. The Portal will allow you to view your child's grades, attendance, and other school-related information from your computer or mobile device. Please watch for a notification from your child's school when the Portal is made available. This should happen sometime in August.
Thank you for your support and understanding through this transition. We are excited about the new features Infinite Campus will bring as our student information system and look forward to its implementation in the 2025-2026 school year.
Regards,
Derek Busch
