Tickets are now on sale for an exciting event to benefit the Softball program. The Colts Softball Booster Club will host a “First Pitch Dinner” fundraiser on Jan. 27 as a celebration for the rich history and tradition that West Stanly Softball has enjoyed. Speakers from multiple eras of the program’s history will reflect on their experiences as players and coaches.
Mark Rowles (long-time science teacher and Voice of the Colts) will emcee the event, while Lori Brooks (‘81), Christi Edwards (‘90), Joy Hathcock (‘97) and Wesley Kidd (‘79) share on their time with the program. We also look forward to honoring the memory of Anabel Speight, a former coach who was instrumental in advancing the game of Softball in western Stanly County.
We hope to turn this First Pitch Dinner into a reunion and wonderful celebration of West Stanly Softball, all while raising funds that go directly towards supporting the 2024 team and continuing to add to the program’s storied history.
Tickets for the dinner are $40 per person, with children’s tickets also available for those 12 years old and younger. Business and table sponsorships are available, and auction item details will be coming closer to the event date!!
