About Me

I have served as an assistant principal since 2023. Immediately prior to becoming an assistant principal, I served for one year as a dean of students. I served as a classroom teacher for 19 years before entering administration. During that time, in both public and private schools both in North Carolina and Illinois, I taught American History, World History, American Government, and Economics at the high school level. I also taught seventh and eighth grade math, science, and social studies in addition to sixth grade science and social studies.

I graduated from Liberty University in 2022 with my Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership. I received a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty University in 2013, and a Master of Science in Education - Educational Administration degree from Eastern Illinois University in 2009. I completed my undergraduate studies at Southern Illinois University - Carbondale with a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies Education in 2001. Additionally, I received an Associate in Science degree in Secondary Education from John A. Logan College in 1998.
