Governor's school is N.C.'s oldest statewide summer residential program for gifted and talented high school students in the nation. The program, open to rising seniors but also rising juniors in selected performing/visual arts, is located on two campuses: Governor's School West at High Point University and Governor's School East at Meredith College. Each summer, selected students are invited to question and explore in a selected discipline on a college campus working with college professors and fabulous guest speakers. Students have the opportunity to see performances, exhibitions, go on field trips, attend seminars, etc. If you are interested in applying to the program please see Mrs. Britt as soon as possible. The application has essays, etc. that must be completed so time is of the essence. Mrs. Britt needs everything completed and turned into her by Wednesday, November 30th.
